Midweek Sunset Hike @ Lime Ridge 5+ mile Loop Hike - Rated Moderate

A 6:30 pm. start time at 3800 Valley Vista Rd. A 5 + mile loop hike Rated Moderate difficulty with several somewhat long sections of up and down hill along wide fire trails and some single track dirt trails.

The Organizers have this hike Rated Moderate difficulty however is one of our favorite loops and among the easier of the hikes we regularly complete. If your up to the challenge and want to get a great workout , maybe see a great sunset before we finish. Along with other passionate outdoor enthusiasts give, this one a try !

The view from the ridge is something to see, overall views of the Clayton ,Concord and Walnut Creek neighborhoods and surrounding communities, with the sun setting on the hill's a great photo opportunity.

Also recommended to bring are Sturdy comfortable footwear and enough water for a 2 + hour hike , and a flashlight in case we finish after dark . some of our regular hikers enjoy the use of hiking poles, and don't forget the camera.

NOTE  :  * NOT A DOG HIKE AREA * Lime Ridge open space is an animal protected environmental area and therefore are NOT allowing DOGS in this hiking area.   SORRY!

Friendly reminder also :   Remember to update your RSVP if you think there's a chance you wont be able to make this hike, so your other friends in the group can grab the spot.

Hope you can make this one, we'll look for you on the trail !

Love these sunset hikes! Nice single-track trail, which eventually led us through a tunnel during the last part of the hike. Saw some wild turkeys and several deer along the way. In fact, there was even a deer walking alone on the golf course! Great to see so many new people joining our hikes. Hiking and sharing these adventures with this wonderful group is always a very enjoyable and fun experience! Thank you Chris, Paul, and Kami for your leadership and keeping us all together and safe on the trails!

Hi Don, well if it takes 20-25 from the Ygnacio exit (per Linda's note), I am thinking about 5:45. However, there is a chance I may get stuck at work and not be able to make it this time. Please email me with your info and I will let you know if I go.

Hi - anyone interested in carpooling from the Sycamore Valley Road park and ride in Danville? I'd like to go but not sure I want to face NB I-680 commute traffic without use of the HOV lane!
