Mid Week Cardio Hike/Run Fast-Paced 5-7 Mile Shell Ridge Loop - Rated Difficult

Join the Discovery Hikers for a Midweek Morning local hike/run over to Shell Ridge in Walnut Creek. Meet us at the trailhead (end of Marshall Drive) at 7 am.  If you want to share some great company and a good workout, we'll be hiking/running a 5-7 mile loop that is DIFFICULT (due to the pace½ fast walking, ½  running), with several sections of somewhat steep up and down hill.

       NOTE:   This is a MUCH faster pace than our usual weekend hikes, good Cardio workout with approximately 700 feet of elevation change along wide fire trails and some single track. This hike is not a beginner’s hike.  Please check our calendar for lesser challenging events.

        The Organizers recommend bringing plenty of water for the 1 1/2 hour route. Dogs that are well behaved are welcome on this trail.
