The restaurant allowed me to increase the reservation to 30 people, and we are close to peak capacity! PLEASE HONOR YOUR RSVP! And, please call or text me if you are going to be more than 30 minutes late or if you can't attend at the last minute. I have emailed my phone number to all who are attending.
If you haven't arrived by 5:30 PM and haven't contacted me, you will forfeit your reservation with our group. If you contact me, I'll be happy to save your seat later than 5:30 PM., as long as I know you're still coming! (We've had issues with "No Shows!" at dinners.)
I highly recommend that you check out Silk Elephant's menu online before dinner tonight! It will take them a while to prepare separate meals for 30 people, so if you know what you want when the waiter or waitress arrives at our table, you can get your order into the kitchen faster...which means your dinner will arrive at your table faster! The menu can be found here: www.silkelephant.net.

Greetings! This is my first event as an assistant organizer for Steel City Skeptics! Whoo-hoo! And, Kristine has offered to be my co-host. So, if you don't already have plans for this Sunday, you're invited to join your fellow Skeptics for some delicious Thai food at the Silk Elephant in Squirrel Hill. It's near the top of the Murray Ave. hill, close to the intersection of Murray Ave. and Forbes Ave.
They have a full bar and will write separate checks. An 18% gratuity will automatically be added to each check. After dinner, we can walk a few doors down the street to Murray Avenue Grill for drinks. I've never eaten at Silk Elephant, but I've heard great reviews from friends, and I've always wanted to try their food. I'm looking forward to a great meal and great company!
*This event is cross-posted on two other Meetup groups: Pittsburgh Dining N' At and Pittsburgh International Food, Languages & Cultures. It's OK with me if you RSVP on more than one Meetup group's site because I have a system, so I won't count the same person twice. And, sometimes people are more likely to attend if they see their friends are coming! :-)
