2nd Sunday Jams at Hambone's Pub

Ukulele players of all skill levels are invited to come and Jam at Hambone's Pub. Come to sing along, or even just to watch. These Jam sessions will repeat on the 2nd Sunday of each month, so mark your calendars now.

We start to play at 5 pm and continue until 7 pm. Come early and sample Hambone's menu; meet other players over a beverage or just tune up. Plan to arrive by 4 pm (or earlier) in order to finish eating before play starts. Parking is free on Sundays and there is a city lot across the street from Hambone's.

The format of these Jams includes starting with easier songs from "The Daily Ukulele:365 Songs," playing additional "Daily" songs and then moving into the leader's play list. Participant recommendations are played, along with any new songs you want to present.

Bring the "Daily" book, a music stand, and 20 copies of any music you want to play that is not in the "Daily" book. The goal is to have fun, improve your uke skills and meet people with a similar interest.

A starting playlist for this Jam follows. We will also play additional songs from "Daily," so please bring your copy. Suggest that you print any songs that you don't already have.

From "Daily:"

Baby Face - pg 31

Blowin' In The Wind - pg 36

Eight Days A Week - pg 74

Georgia - pg 87

Oh Susanna - pg 178 See a Lesson here

Other Songs (click song title for printable version):

I Wanna Be A Dog / Cat Hear it here

A great time again at Hambone's. I counted 16 Ukulele players, plus some support personnel. Sorry that some new participants had to leave early - but hey had tickets to the theater. They said that they will return next time. We played all of the songs in the play list, some additional songs from participant selections, and several hand-outs. I have uploaded the handouts, including: Cecilia, It's Time To Get...., I Will Follow You Into..., Merry Minuet, and RAND Hymn. You can find them under "Pages," "Alphabetical Music" on the SCU Meetup Site. See you at next month's Jam, scheduled for Sunday, March 10. Like · Reply · 31s ago · Mute
