From Other Sources:

Merry Minuet

Minuet In G, Christian Petzold

Mom and Dad's Waltz

Somewhere Over the Rainbow, Wonderful World

Here is a Youtube playlist (Lisa's) with all songs!

Note: All files are loaded into the "Files" section of the Meetup Site. Here is a PDF that contains all 15 pages of music. I initially had difficulty printing Lisa's "markups" (in red) on this PDF; the solution was to change the print settings on the pop-up print window to be "Document and Markups."

UPDATED AGAIN: The previous update left out all my awesome markup and was huge and slow to download. So sorry!

Bi-Monthly Uke Sessions: 1st and 3rd Wednesday evenings of each month. Come at 6:45 pm to tune-up and talk. We play from 7 to 9 pm. During the summer we meet at Biddle's Escape, 401 Biddle Ave., Regent Square, PA 15221. During the winter season we meet at Wilkins School Community Center, 7604 Charleston Ave., Regent Square, PA 15218.

Format: Moderator leads each session, warming up with old favorite tunes. A suggested playlist with old and new tunes is posted prior to each session. After we play and make announcements, we jam "song-circle" style. The setting is friendly and informal with no commitment required - just bring your uke and join us. We encourage solo play for advanced players.

Music: Our text is "The Daily Ukulele, 365 Tunes." We also use tunes from websites, such as Dr. Uke. If you would like to introduce a new song to the group, please bring a minimum of 20 copies to pass out.

Very good, Franklin! Since I have heard you play flute, recorder, and melodica, you will also be outstanding as a ukulele player very soon!!

We filled the deck at Biddle's. The weather was absolutely wonderful. Lisa prepared and led a great playlist; SCU got a big applause playing IZ medley. Finally got the lights turned on after darkness set in. Everybody seemed to have a great time. Thanks Lisa; Thanks Biddle's.

Hi, I'm new to ukulele, having started teaching myself less than 3 weeks ago. I have a Lanikai LU-21S and have a real problem with the intonation: on the A string, fretting results in sharpness. Looking online, I get the impression that it's a bridge placement problem, and that maybe it's not worth getting "fixed", but instead I should get a better instrument that is adjustable?

Franklin: bring your Lanikai on Wed. and we'll all take a look at it.

I will be bringing it. (Also, I am considering a concert size. I stopped by Acoustic Music Works tonight near home to check some out.)

Hi. Some of these files don't print very well. Is the original text black? The ones copied out of "365" are very pale when printed. Help.....

they were all scanned from black and white copies. i made two notes in red pen on the first page, but the rest of the markings were made using Adobe Acrobat markup (also in red). important to note that almost none of my notations change anything, just clarify things like repeats and codas, so you're not missing anything as long as you can read the actual pages (that is, as long as it's just my red markings that aren't printing well). are other things printing okay on the same printer?

I added a few notations to the full-playlist PDF and linked it above ("UPDATED"). Let me know if you have any questions!

You are so well organized. Thanks for making the getting of things so easy.

thanks :) of course, i just remembered another correction that i forgot earlier: in "somewhere/wonderful," "I like the [Am] dark" should be "the darkness of [Am] night." and there are probably others in there that i missed. sorry!

Hi all! Anyone notice the chords for "Heard it Through the Grapevine" are off somewhat? Mainly for the G7?

    August 16, 2013

    • mitch b.

I dunno--it sounds right to me, but i trust your ear! Let us know if you think something else should substitute!

I'm definitely in! See you all next week.

My apologies for the delay in posting the PDFs. All the songs are now uploaded as PDFs (use the Richard G. version of "Somewhere over the Rainbow") and as a single PDF with all the songs.
For "Minuet in G," I just want those who are interested in trying it to go through it slowly (preferably with a metronome), just one part or the other. We'll go through the first repeat (the first page) together and see how we do.
