Bi-Monthly Uke Sessions: 1st and 3rd Wednesday evenings of each month. Come at 6:45 pm to tune-up and talk. We play from 7 to 9 pm. During the summer we meet at Biddle's Escape, 401 Biddle Ave., Regent Square, PA 15221. During the winter season we meet at Wilkins School Community Center, 7604 Charlston Ave., Regent Square, PA 15218.

Format: Moderator leads each session, warming up with old favorite tunes. A suggested playlist with old and new tunes is posted prior to each session. After we play and make announcements, we jam "song-circle" style. The setting is friendly and informal with no commitment required - just bring your uke and join us. We encourage solo play for advanced players.

Music: Our text is "The Daily Ukulele, 365 Tunes." We also use tunes from websites, such as Dr. Uke. If you would like to introduce a new song to the group, please bring a minimum of 20 copies to pass out.

Sunny did a super job of picking the playlist and leading the group. She took us to unexpected heights; under her urging we played one song at faster and faster speeds - and it sounded great. Group playing is really fun and an excellent way to build skills.

Great fun again. I enjoyed the variety of songs, and also the opportunity to do some simple fingerpicking.

I have found an old[masked] banjo uke. It needs some work. Can anyone recommend a place to get the work done? Thanks!

Pianos 'n Stuff in Blawnox may be able to do any work needed. I think they have a luthier there.

I like the luthier at Pittsburgh Guitars--they are also one of sponsors and I think we get a discount.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
