1st Wednesday of Month - Regent Square Area

NOTE: THIS WILL BE OUR FIRST SUMMERTIME MEETUP AT BIDDLE'S ESCAPE. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN CHAIR. (NOTE: the best chairs to bring are those WITHOUT arms. Chairs with arms are too big for the limited space AND it's hard to play ukulele in a chair with arms.)

Come at 6:45 pm to tune-up and talk. We play from 7 to 9 pm, starting with the playlist below, followed by requests. No experience required! All levels are welcome, from beginners to professionals. If you don't know the chords... just sing louder.

Wednesdays this year are "Food Truck Days" at Biddle's Escape.  On June 4th, Brassero will be selling GREAT Mexican foods. Plan your dinner accordingly - I know I'm going to partake. Check out Brassero website HERE.

It was fun playing over at BE. Amber , you had some fun new songs that we learned. It was great having you play the violin. You were so supportive and enthusiastic to get us playing some challenging pieces!

Thank you, Amber! New songs, challenges, your teaching - AND hearing you play your violin with our songs was wonderful! You did a ton of prep and were a great lead. Thanks!!! Thanks to Biddles, too. What a great place. Can't wait to have Danielle Anderson (Danielle Ate The Sandwich) teach us a song during our June 18 meetup. And then can't wait to see her show the next night. All at Biddles!

I enjoyed the fact that Amber, like Stuart Fuchs, worked to teach us rhythm. And working it in with using the uke body and a strum was just really cool. We need more of this. Thank you Amber for doing a fine job leading us. I also have to add my thanks to Biddle's for being such good hosts. What a neat place.

Even though it was raining, we all had a great time. We took over the back half of Biddle's and played a good list of tunes. Amber did an excellent job of leading. Several new members came and reported a fun time. Biddle's staff was more than accommodating - they treated us like family. Having a food truck outside was truly a blessing. And the Mexican food was quite tasty and reasonably priced. I am looking forward to our next gathering at Biddle's. Oh - considering the threat of storms and the continuous rain, I was quite surprised at the turnout. Thanks to everybody who attended.

    Hi, Everyone!

I've had a couple of questions about Wipe Out and here's what I can answer so far:

    1. If you need a song reference, check out the Surfaris on YouTube.

    2. We are doing a uke-friendly arrangement of this song, so it won't exactly match the original, which is in B. That's pretty painful to play along with in C...

    3. You'll probably see some stuff you don't know. Please promise me that you won't panic. I have some Stu-like tricks up my sleeve to get us rockin' and rollin'. Sheet music always looks more complicated than it sounds.

    See you soon!

    Hi, there!

Whoops. We'll do the version in 365. Insert sheepish grin here.
