Foundations 101 with Craig Chee Craig Chee’s 45-minute workshop is of special interest to the Beginning Ukulele player, and, it’s a mighty good warm up and review of specific basics that apply to all players. He will dive into fun exercises to strengthen your fingers. These will focus on coordination, speed, tone control, and he will demonstrate how they are implemented into more advanced techniques. The techniques demonstrated in this workshop will help push you to that next level. No handouts, but bring pencil and tablet. Note: Craig will do a follow up video on his portion of the workshop that will be available by e-mail.
Life After the Third Fret with Sarah Maisel All skill levels benefit from learning and using alternate chords. In this workshop, we work on not only enhancing your playing, but also enriching the sound of the group. The focus is on the different ways to play and change up and form familiar chords. Sarah will show us (we’ll use her hand-out packet) how to play three versions of one song together using the very same chords, but using alternate frets. Using the same chords/fingering, we’ll play Doo-Wop progressions together.
Handouts for this workshop are available HERE and you should print and bring.
