2nd Sunday Jams at Hambone's Pub

Ukulele players of all skill levels are invited to come and Jam at Hambone's PubCome to play ukulele, sing along, or even just to watch. We play from 5-7 pm.

Come earlier and sample Hambone's menu; meet other players over a beverage or just tune up. Parking is free on Sundays and there is a small city lot across the street from Hambone's.

The format of these Jams includes starting with easier songs from "The Daily Ukulele:365 Songs," playing additional "365" songs and then moving into the leader's play list. Participant recommendations are played, along with any new songs you want to present.

NEW FOR 2014! OPEN MIC 6:30-7:30 pm. We will set up a mic for anyone who would like to perform.  This is a great supportive space to show the group what you have been working on!

Bring the "Daily" book, a music stand, your printed "play list" and 20 copies of any music you want to add. The goal is to have fun, improve your ukulele skills and meet people with a similar interest.

Sign up now to attend this "Jam."  See you at Hambone's.

It is so nice to be able to get out to another Hambone’s Jam with you all, I’m looking forward to a  fun session.  I thought we would have a mixed theme of cowboy & Hawaiian songs this month, so here’s a list...

Down in the Valley

Red River Valley

Buffalo Gals

Hawaiian Wedding Song

The Hukilau Song

Yellow Rose of Texas

Non 365:

I Ride an Old Paint

Ghost Riders in the Sky

Hawaiian War Chant

Honolulu Baby

My Little Grass Shack

Ukulele Lady v2

Little Brown Gal

Don’t Fence Me In

Back In the Saddle Again

Home on the Range

As usual we will start with some easy songs from 365 & then move on from there.  I’m looking forward to seeing your at Hambones on the 13th.

All of the non 365 songs are on the SCU Meetup webite or you might find it easier to find the non-365 songs on the NWPA Ukuleles site at in either Songbook Vol. 1 or on the new songs list.

Jack, I'm not finding the list of slow jam songs. Can you point me in the right direction.

It was a little late starting due to the world cup final game; but, a fun time was had by me and mine. Kudos to Drew who did a terrific job leading the pack. And thanks again to Drew for the packet of tunes from the seminar he gave earlier somewhere. Some really good Tin Pan Alley music with a bit of a cord change challenge. This is the stuff we need to expand our playing ability.

Kathy - Drew said he would send me the files. I will "package" them and post on this site. But I will also make you a copy of what I have - I'll bring it Wednesday.

We had a challenge and lots of fun with Drew's "extended" playlist. Hambone's was wondering if we were going to leave. Drew's published playlist was fun, and relatively easy. But then Drew offered his seminar playlist, and it was interesting and challenging. Those who could stay learned some great Tin Pan Alley tunes, with interesting chord changes. Thanks again, Drew.
