BeginnerPLUS / 2nd Wednesday

BeginnerPLUS

On Second Wednesdays, we play familiar tunes at a slower pace. You’ve already taken some lessons. Now it’s time to talk about some basic strums, alternate chord fingering, and how to move and slide between chords. Learn tricks, cheats and other valuable info geared to newer players and also to those who just like to hang out and play with a group. We’ll have fun, and drink a little wine, too. Marlene is host-leader. You’re invited.

BeginnerPLUS Playlist, for October 8, 2014.  All songs are in the “yellow book,” Daily Ukulele, 365 songs, by Jim and Liz Beloff.   To buy, (List, $34; best price $22.00, at Amazon.com)

More oldies and goodies on the playlist. But this session, the emphasis is on fingering the chords: how to get from one to another with an economy of motion.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
