Which parts of Pittsburgh would you like to explore with this group?
I'm not picky.
What experience level would you consider yourself on a scale of 1 to 10? 1=I walk just around my neighborhood, 4=Sometimes walk park trails, 7=trails & some stairs ,10=Steep Hills/Steps (Don't worry, just an overview, we won't hold you to it...)
Walk the streets and hike the trails in the City of Pittsburgh! Meet new people and enjoy the outdoors right here in our town. With 5 major city parks, rolling hills, grand vistas and the city sights & sounds within a 5 mile radius, its hard not to find what your looking for in the 'burgh.
Trips include: Morning coffee walks for the early riser, Sunset hikes through the park for the summer solstice, Guided history & sightseeing hikes around downtown, Happy hour hikes followed by a Friday cocktail, plus regular non-narrative walks (just simple planned walks for exercise and socializing) & “get to know your neighborhood” hikes, featuring a different Pittsburgh neighborhood each trip!
Trip leaders are experience volunteers & docents that have worked with the Pittsburgh parks and the great outdoor organizations around the local area. Hikes are usually 3-5 miles at an easy to moderate pace. We are not out looking to race, but rather to enjoy each others company and our great surroundings that make Pittsburgh the “Most Liveable City”!
