The strategy of trying to hold onto two temples to gain victory points in Kemet does not work, if you're not fighting anyone to gain control of them (what actually happens is you move in, then get attacked, run out of useful actions/troops, ending up with no victory points from the temples but ensuring the competition gains loads from being an easy target, end up massively behind after two days unable to recover). Lesson learnt!

Yeah, to be fair it was more getting the "economy" tiles I neglected and that was my own fault because I'd had a quick look at the sheet at home and thought there were loads of 'em. When playing with 4 canny opponents, however, the good ones go quick!

I missed out on one of the economy tiles I wanted because it went before my first turn! And there were two of them!

First game was Open the Door - a co-op game where players try to get into a locked room. Between us we got enough action points together to invoke the caretaker and he came and let us in for the win.

Next was Kemet (see other comments) and I came second last - in front of Chris (see other comments). My brain did its decrepit old man's shutdown by the end but I had just enough left in me to set up Room 25 and sit down planning to just cruise through the game. Then it turned out I was the guard (traitor). The point of the game is to find Room 25 amongst the face down tiles and I did just that early on. I didn't lie but neglected to mention this info. Everyone kept looking and by the time I was figured out I just got in the way for the last couple of turns. This was enough to get me the win! As we cleared up, though, my brain couldn't figure out how to stack a table but I still had to drive home. Stay off the roads at 11pm on the first Friday of the month, that's all I'm saying....

You say dead. I prefer a noble sacrifice in the torture room my chubby button couldn't get out of there in time... Good games though, thanks all for the evening!

By the looks of those room tiles, Stu, I think of your character more as one of the economy packs knocked out by those fellas selling meat out the back of a van at a car boot sale! Trying to sprint through double rooms of buzz saws = unhealthy!

Ster and I will be there, but as it's term time again we'll be late because Beavers doesn't finish until 7. Hopefully[masked]ish, like normal. If someone can save us some seats that'd be great!

So, any suggestions for Friday? I'm getting bored of Tzolkin now (because I seem to do worse each time I play it), and I yawn in Puerto Ricos general direction... Anyone bringing anything new/interesting?
