Weekly Sunday @ Asda Stevenage

Regular Sunday meeting at Asda Stevenage.

New members please note the Sunday sessions are rarely attended!  But the room is here to use if needed, so if you can convince a few other people to turn up then you can have your own quiet little games afternoon.

To get in you need to go to side entrance - as shown below.  There is security door so you'll need to buzz to get in.  Everyone must sign the visitor book which is in front of you as you enter.   To get to room turn right and follow corridor around "training room 1" is on the right just after toilets.

Asda carpark is £2.00 which is refunded if you make a purchase in store.  Not sure if they still charge this on Sundays?

    Official news release follows.
Greetings Citizens of the Empire. You will be glad to hear that the brave members of our armed forces mercilessly put down an insurrection earlier today. The heavy armour and stockpiled missiles of the terrorists were no match for the training and skill of our courageous pilots and we can thank them for our continued peace and prosperity. In order to thank them, all citizens will work one hour longer tomorrow with the funds generated going directly to the families of the clones that fell in the battle. Long live the gracious Emperor.
    Message ends.

I'd be interested in a epic rematch - 150 points of X-Wing... But it would mean neither of us were available to teach anyone else how to play...

Rule check - did you say a "hit" (for the purposes of upgrade cards etc) is a dice hit result? or an /undefended/ dice hit result? eg. if you roll two hit dice and I roll 2 evade dice, is that a "hit" or not? ("discard this card if the attack hits")

not that I'm /still/ planning my elite fleet... 8-)

A hit is decided after all dice and tokens are resolved. Basically, if you do damage after everything is taken into account then that is a hit - if you don't do damage then it's not a hit. This is in the rulebook somewhere - or so lots of knowledgeable internet types said in the thread I saw when I thought I would check it :-)

Just on the off chance that anyone else is considering coming along - if you want to play anything from my list but X-Wing please RSVP and let me know as I won't bother taking the other stuff if it is just me and John going.

Right, sod that 'orrible Sun and all those family things that you should be doing! Get down to Asda for some gaming goodness. I'm proposing a two player Sunday - in my case this means X-Wing Miniatures, Netrunner and Summoner Wars. All of these are pretty simple to learn and can be played in about an hour so there should be the opportunity to play multiple games. As long as somebody else comes along. Please? X Wing against my Arch-Nemesis, Mr. Nobody, is fun and all but it's tiring running round the table to move "his" ships all the time. I also have enough of all this crap for at least a couple of games of each to be running at the same time but if you are interested in Netrunner then mention it as I will reset my decks to the starter box recommended ones.
