I'd like to recommend everyone to take a look at Lineman as an alternative to Yeoman.

Well, you can build and test your angular project with Lineman. It even runs the tests in the background continuously. It can also easily be used to mock the backend or proxy it. It does not generate code however and this is an advantage IMO

Regarding code generation, you can find the motivation for avoiding it on Lineman's homepage. If you think it's a good one, that's another question :)

We can take a maximum of 150 people so I'm hoping someone can put up a limit just in case. ;)

Manuel, is Lineman something you would like to talk about?

    February 11, 2014

    • Manuel P.

Yes, I could talk about it for 5-10 minutes if it's something new to people. I got frustrated right away with Yeoman but I can't say that I've really used it. I just don't like the concept of code generation for this.

I've held a presentation on all that at Sthlm.js this fall. Slides here: http://www.slideshare.net/johnphilipjohansson/yeoman-workflow-27143476
Let me know if there's an interest of me presenting something.
