The machines are rising, Terminator-style. Cars drive themselves. Cyborg agents whack those that get too close to the truth. Animatronic dinosaurs feast on hapless families.
Time was running out so we had a "sudden death" ending, with all the remaining survivors storming the underground lair and throwing dice at the menace. Two characters made it out (the plucky nurse and the curious writer) but everyone else got the axe.
I'd say this session highlighted the good and the bad of story games. You've got to really try to get on the same page and have the same intent as the other players or the game will never come together. There were some good scenes but we definitely spun our wheels or backtracked at times.
