August's Transmedia NYC Meetup will be awesome! 

We welcome Nina Lassam, who will present Wattpad (think YouTube for ebooks).  Wattpad is a new form of entertainment where readers and writers interact, share content and tell stories across text, video, images and through the conversations they engage in. Wattpad stories are always available everywhere online and offline. Anyone can read a Wattpad story and interact with writers and other readers on the web and through mobile platforms available for over 1,000 different devices.

Nina Lassam works at Wattpad, the unlimited digital storytelling community available online and through 1,000+ 
mobile apps. She has written on the changing landscape of 
eBooks for The Huffington Post, Girls in Tech, Electric Literature 
and is a contributor to an upcoming bookon typograph and language. Nina received her MA from the University of 
Toronto, where she studied at the Marshall McLuhan Institute.

    Spent some more time on Wattpad today - skews heavily to YA fiction and a matching fanbase, but the concept is solid. Liked the discussion on "how we historically talked about fiction" - and how it's evolving.
