It was fun, thank you. I was surprised thou that no one in the house was able to answer the simple monetization question or give a couple of simple examples to help understanding the concept of transmedia. http://sealightent.com, http://futuresalon18.eventbrite.com/

What this has made us all realize on our leadership team is that maybe we need to step up our Transmedia 101 introduction at meetings to help give newbies context. So whether or not the criticism was meant as constructive or not...we've listened and are addressing these things to make a better organization that fosters learning, growth and community.

It was of course meant in a positive way. I guess having been in entertainment since childhood, many things are just natural. I was in fact going to try responding when the room decided to move on and get other people's questions. Nobody knows everything and it's GREAT to have environments where sharing and learning is facilitated. Here are a couple of conferences that can help "newbies" get familiar with the basics: http://www.transmedia... http://createasphere....

Ori's good to listen to. He speaks with the clear voice of distilled thought and a depth of experience that surprise me. It's always a pleasure to hear directly from someone so saturated and confident about the subject matter.

I walked away from the event with what I thought was one very good definition of what the best Transmedia is--held up in contrast against what it isn't. It seems, the ideal way we want the broader public to understand it, Transmedia ISN'T part of the massively overcrowded traditional and electronic public communications and entertainment landscape. Transmedia ISN'T part of the noise.

    It's the rare clarity within.

Successful Transmedia is about constructing and delivering a clear concise message.
I really doubt that Transmedia can be taught. Any more than Art can be taught.

But I believe it can be learned. And good technique can be learned. And collaborated on, and developed. So I'm looking forward to hearing more.

Thanks again to TLA and Ori.

Anyone know the technology used for the hologram projections at rave shows? I worked at Swedish House Mafia LA gig and was impressed with some of their coordinated light imagery show... anyone else see that show? On a similar rail... anyone play with those new mini light weight projectors?

ANOTHER unique, high-quality installment from our fearless leaders at TMLA. Ori was the perfect guide for this step back from individual projects to look at the overall direction of things. Boy he made things clear!

I enjoyed the talk and the Q&A with Ori and Hal! Ori delivered good insight into the intersecting interests of Hollywood studios and the smaller independent storytellers.
