The great art of storytelling will debut once again in downtown Dallas. Come on down to Absinthe Lounge on Friday Feb 26th from 7-9 to see what great stories Texas has to offer, and bring some friends with you, too.

For those who think they might want to give this a shot, a quick reminder that all stories will be limited to 5-7 minutes and must be inspired by the night's theme - "Love (Hurts)".

Even if you did not attend our first meeting, you can still tell a story. Please email me to let me know that you are interested in telling a story, and I will give you some pointers and tips about how to craft your story so you are not worried about memorization.

Remember, this is not a stand-up act, a monologue or an essay. This is storytelling in its truest form. You are looking at an audience and they are listening to you. As long as your story has a beginning, middle and end, and is within the 5-7 minute limit, you (and everyone else) will have a blast.

BTW, I have never done this before in this format. This is as new to me as it might be to some of you. I'm going to put myself out there, win or lose, and enjoy the ride. 2010 is the year of taking risks and finding fulfillment, so if you have a little daring in you, and you have always wanted to entertain people with stories of your life, Friday Night MothUp is waiting.
