This is the first of our fun and inspiring meet-ups.
The format is informal and relaxed, but I want to make sure that people feel they are really getting value out of the meet-ups, not just small talk over a drink.
I have researched a lot of networking events and found that many suffer from the same complaints of not being organised well, not making good use of your time and not really adding anything to your day.
To address these issued, I have put together a format for our meet-ups that is slightly different to a generic "round the table" or just general small talk. It's based on the successful mastermind sessions format and I'll call it the "tell a story" concept (am open to other name suggestions).
How does it work?
We will split into random groups of 4 people, and for 5 min, one person will have chance to talk about themselves, what they are currently doing, where they want to get to in their career or business. They will also tell the others in what area they want to gain more influence and what they see as their biggest challenge to getting there. After their 5 minutes are up, the rest of the group will spend 10 min sharing their experience, tips, suggestions, ideas, resources and so on. When time is up, it's the next persons turn and the process is repeated with everyone in the group.
This an extremely powerful way of solving problems and generating ideas that are practical and can be implemented straight away.
The format for the evening is:
18:30 Arrive and Meet & Greet
19:00 - 20:00 Tell a story - Mastermind session
20:00 - 20:30 Open networking and follow up with any questions
The mastermind session is followed by an open session for networking. Plus, we highlight any questions and answers from the Mastermind session that might be of interest to the wider group.
If you work with complex data and lots of numbers and want to become more influential to further your career or your business and learn some insider tricks, these meet-up are for you - no matter what your industry or level of experience.
Looking forward to seeing you there
