The Birds -- Hitchcock's Iconic Suspense Classic (ICE WARNING! BE CAREFUL!)

ICE WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR NASHVILLE THIS EVENING. Please be careful if you attend!

One of Hitchcock's most famous films, with Melanie Griffith's mother Tippi in an iconic green suit and younger versions of Suzanne Pleshette, Jessica Tandy, and Veronica Cartwright (of Alien). "Wealthy San Francisco socialite Melanie Daniels (Tippi Hedren) pursues potential boyfriend Mitch Brenner (Rod Taylor) to a small Northern California town where she finds that it’s winged mayhem for the complacent townsfolk of Bodega Bay. THE BIRDS is often cited as Hitchcock’s most technically innovative film. With Tippi Hedren (a leading fashion model at the time), Hitchcock found the last in a long and distinguished line of blondes to have her cool exterior gradually broken down, both on camera and off."

If you have not been to The Belcourt before, you need to get a parking ticket for your vehicle from the machine by the sidewalk or you may be ticketed by security as non-Belcourt attendees using The Belcourt parking lot pay a parking charge. You will need the code for the parking machine. It can be obtained when you buy your ticket on site from the ticket. It is also printed on your ticket if you buy it online.

I think I will be there tonight but may go home after work depending on what the weather looks like. My cell is[masked] if you want to check with me tonight about Fido's or The Belcourt. I would suggest everyone be in the lobby by 6:55 to find each other so you can sit together assuming CJ and I aren't there. My apologies but weather usually comes up a few times a year.

I'll be there if CJ and Derek can't make it. Look for a bearded guy of 33 w/ a Belcourt ball cap.

Thank you, Bob. I know you are probably going to be there because you're 20 for 24 last time I checked. Wish I could have seen them all.

Well, since they're declaring this a state of emergency I guess I definitely cannot make it. (http://www.newschannel5.com/story/20595734/tema-to-open-emergency-center-in-ice-storm) I'm sorry, everyone. :(

Looks like I'd better not try to make it tonight -- see you all another, less icy day.

After seeing this on The Tennessean's webpage, I don't plan to attend tonight. Thanks Bob for helping out! Drive safe if you chance it!

I'm concerned that I will not be able to make it tonight with the current weather warning. My car is not 4 wheel drive and the roads are predicted to be icy. I'll check back a little later when the forecast is more certain.
