For those of you attending this Friday's Sundance shorts (http://www.meetup.com/Strictly-Belcourt/calendar/11803510/)
, please note that it is likely to be a sold-out event, so you may want to get your tickets early. Unfortunately, the Belcourt has not posted showtimes yet, so tickets are not yet on sale! They promise they will have those up sometime today: http://www.belcourt.org/
(click on "Buy Tickets" in the top menu). Myself, Mariah and CJ will all be at the show Friday night, and we'll do our best to round everyone up and try to ensure we can sit together, but please bear with us as it will be more crowded than our usual events. Watch for more information on the logistics of that in a day or so.
Also, the day of ticket sales approaches for Sundance Film Festival U.S.A. (on January 28). Eight theatres in the U.S. were selected to host premiere screenings with an appearance by the director. This is actually part of the Sundance Film Festival and only one theatre in the South was selected to participate: Nashville's own Belcourt! Tickets go on sale Friday at 10:00am. THIS WILL SELL OUT, so I recommend getting tickets as soon as you reasonably can. I have opened up the event so you can RSVP if you're going to join us: http://www.meetup.com/Strictly-Belcourt/calendar/12052039/
. Buy your tickets at the Belcourt link given above (again, starting this Friday at 10:00 am).
I have scheduled one more event in January: Wine, Food and Film. Event info here: http://www.meetup.com/Strictly-Belcourt/calendar/12052005/
. Tickets are not on sale yet. The last one of these sold out, so I'll give everyone a heads-up when tickets go on sale.
Finally, those of us who saw Revanche on Monday were very impressed. I highly recommend this film, but you only have two more days to catch it. It's not quite the "thriller" I thought it was going to be, more of an engrossing, quiet drama. Extremely well-acted and excellent.
