Get your running shoes ready!
Training for the Redondo Beach Superbowl 10K Baby Buggy Race starts Sunday, December 2nd and will continue until the week prior to the race. That's 9 weeks....if you can commit, you can cover a lot of work and improve much in 9 weeks.
Training is FREE and all levels are welcome! We also encourage your partner, it's a great way to get the whole family motivated and start a healthy Sunday routine!
Ronnie Glassman and Tiffanie Williams are the co-captains this year.
Whether or not you train with us, you should still plan to attend this great walk/run....I'm walking the race this year (and probably stopping at every porta-potty) so no matter what your pace, you will come in ahead of me!
...and the best part?! We do a fun pot-luck celebration after the race!
As for training:
--I will help you get to your goal, but I need to know your goal and your current abilities; and we need to set a plan. This might mean additional runs during the week to help you obtain your goal.
--Plan to train WITH your stroller (I use weights if Strat is not with me otherwise the stroller is hard to control)
--Get good shoes and break them in
--RSVP and cancel because we do pay attention to who's coming and will wait behind for those who say they are coming.
