George ”Keoki K” Klingelhofer is a singer/ songwriter/ ukulele player recently transplanted to the Bay area from Chicago. He fell in love with Hawaiian music 25 years ago, influenced by the likes of Israel Kamakawiwo’ole and the Ka’au Crater boys. Ten years ago George picked up the uke for the first time, and has not put it down since. His easy going vocal style and intricate harmonies transport you to the beach on a warm and sunny summer‘s day with an icy tropical drink in your hand.
George has composed 15 original songs and has released two CD’s with his band the Windy City Islanders. He has entertained continuously for the past 9 years in locations throughout the Midwest, Cape Cod, Waikiki, and Southern California. Over the past several years George has had the pleasure to share the stage with ukulele greats Kelly Boy DeLima, Kimo Hussey, Gerald Ross, Tim Sweeney, and the Bay’s own Steven Espaniolo, and perform regularly with the renowned ukulele master Jon Prown.
