Absolutely, though I have little actual art background. I am an artist at heart. And can help out in general with events. I love and admire the whole art scene. Check out procession.org in Olympia, WA, an annual event I was involved with for 8 years. It takes place every year on the Saturday following Earth Day. It is a celebration of nature and diversity. A free art studio is open to the public for six weeks preceeding the Procession. Individuals and groups flow in and out taking classes or working on their own to create artistic pieces representing the natural world -- papier mache whales, bison, trees; batik costumes, banners, fish on bikes, stilt walking preying mantises. Whatever they can imagine. Or they can create music. Only 3 rules: No written word, no motorized vehicles, and no pets (distracting from the intention of the event). The day of the Procession, everyone processes: Wind, Water, Earth, Fire. It is fabulous.
I would say garden art. I am a gardener and love creating beautiful garden landscapes. I like to say, making neighborhoods beautiful one garden at a time. Thank you again for bringing this exciting project to Lake Elsinore. The town deserves this kind of envigorating, creative stimulation.
Hi! Exciting! Building community through art. A wonderful thing for Lake Elsinore. I am a long-time resident, '73-'95. Then lived in a fabulous artistic city, Olympia, WA (check out procession.org). Now I'm back. Will bring my g-kids to your meetups.
