Nice Angelia - B/W always seem to work well with high contrast and shadowy images. Are you finding it easy or hard to edit these type of images?

Hi Tom, No, I think they're not too bad at all to edit. I do know that the face can be dark which is a nice effect but I still like to see the eyes even though I'm a huge high contrast fan and that dark mysterious face is a feature.

I agree. This normally is not my style of photography and thats why this was so much fun for me because now I have to rethink my edits and come up with different techniques to make adjustments that suit my eye. I like to see the eyes too. I am searching for the photos that have at least one eye lit. I am using dodge and burn techniques to relight the parts I want lit and the parts I want to be in more shadow. Not sure how familiar you our with Photoshop and Lightroom, but if you ever have a question about editing just send me a message and I would be happy to answer questions you might have. You can always ask us questions at the meetup's too. I am glad you were able to participate in this meetup. I hope you were able to get some different images that you did not already have in your portfolio.

All your pictures are great:) I am learning Lightroom (worked in it years ago but haven't kept up) and I'm a graphic designer so I work in Photoshop a lot. I also use the burn and dodge too but I recently read a touch up book and what he does is stamps down the layer, then puts this new layer on Screen, holds the alt key while adding a mask and then uses the white foreground color and a low opacity to brighten eyes or face or whatever without doing too much damage. Then you can even adjust the opacity as a layer too. You probably heard this one before but I'm so thrilled with it I thought I'd write it out just in case. I always have questions and love learning PS. I think I need more help in Lightroom though:)
