A Trip to the Movies: Machete Kills

It isn't zombies but it does promise to be a blast. Due to timing, we've planned this event for the AMC 17 theatre at Yorktown Mall. The show starts at 7:35. We'll be in the lobby until 7:30. It's at the corner of 355 and i-88, and is very easy to get to and park. We'll go for drinks or snacks at Rock Bottom, afterwards.

The U.S. government recruits Machete to battle his way through Mexico in order to take down an arms dealer who looks to launch a weapon into space.

Tickets can be purchased in advance, here: https://tickets.fandango.com/transaction/ticketing/express/ticketboxoffice.aspx?row_count=26032948&tid=AABZG&from=Redirect.aspx&mid=157499&wssaffid=11584_GoogleMoviesOneBox%28Web%29&w...

It was a bit tame in some ways but so funny that I don't feel that it was less than a 7 out of 10 for me

So the theatre is going to have to change. SMG, Regal Cantera, and IPIC are not showing this movie around 7 (it plays much earlier in the day). We're currently discussing either Yorktown AMC or Hollywood Blvd.

Cinemark is ~$9.50 per ticket and has Cabana Charlies, Buffalo Wild Wings and the Tilted Kilt all in walking distance.

Studio Movie Grill is ~$10.25 per ticket and has Houlihan's in walking distance. They serve food as well in the theater but it is always fun to talk after. I am not sure the prices if anyone else wants to fill in that info.

It has been about a month and no other votes. I will set the location as SMG since it was the first vote. See you all there.

Moved it a week back so that it does not conflict with the charity event. I do not want people to have to pick between the two (if you only have time for one choose the other one).

That actually works a lot better, thanks.
