Everyone enjoyed our last mini-potluck and movie viewing of Forks Over Knives, so let's have another potluck and a movie! The documentary Vegucated is now available on Netflix and I'm really excited to see it as it has received a lot of attention in the veg community the past year or so. A short synopsis is below. We can comfortably fit about 10 people in our living room (if some don't mind sitting on the floor). We also have 2 friendly dogs, one big and one small. Let's make it a mini-potluck with appetizers while we watch the movie, and discuss what we think about it afterwards. Please bring a vegan dish to share with a list of the ingredients, and your own place setting.
Hope you're all doing well and staying warm. Have a great weekend!
"Part sociological experiment and part adventure comedy, Vegucated follows three meat- and cheese-loving New Yorkers who agree to adopt a vegan diet for six weeks. Lured by tales of weight lost and health regained, they begin to uncover the hidden sides of animal agriculture that make them wonder whether solutions offered in films like Food, Inc. go far enough. This entertaining documentary showcases the rapid and at times comedic evolution of three people who discover they can change the world one bite at a time."
