In an effort to promote Meatless Monday, and more plant-based ethical eating, Countryside Animal Friends (a local UU Animal Ministry chapter at Countryside Church UU) will host a monthly vegan potluck throughout the academic year (October through May).
Potlucks are on third or fourth Sundays of each month (except December) in Atherton Hall (where the bake sales take place!) from 4 - 7 pm or so.
Potlucks are open to the community and public, so please come, and please feel free to bring a friend or two! We have lots of space in Atherton Hall, as well as use of a kitchen to heat up things, etc. if need be. We also have lots of buffet tables with electrical outlets for crock-pots, warmers. etc.
Please bring a vegan (no meat, dairy, eggs or honey) dish to share (that serves approx. 6-8), and a serving utensil.
Countryside has dishes, mugs, and silverware we can use; but if you'd like to bring your own, feel free.
Please label your vegan dish and give a list of ingredients, and if you like, the recipe itself (if someone wants to make a copy). If it is gluten-free, soy-free, etc, please label it as such to make it easier to find.
Everyone is welcome! We encourage non-vegans and vegetarians to join us and experience how tasty and satisfying plant-based cuisine can be!
