July Vegan Potluck Picnic at Twin Lakes

Bring your favorite vegan picnic fare to Twin Lakes for an afternoon of food and fun! There's sand volleyball, basketball courts, children's playground, a paved trail for walking, biking or rollerblading, and boat rentals(paddleboats, kayaks).

We will meet at our usual spot in a grassy area by one of the pavillions. (maybe in one if it's empty!)  If you are in the main parking lot and facing the lake you will take the trail to the right and follow it around toward the pavillion. We will NOT meet by the pavillions by the playgrounds/volleyball courts. Please bring a chair or blanket, serving utensils, place setting with utensils, napkiins, drinks, etc. All food should be vegan (no meat, eggs, dairy or honey). Bring a list of ingredients to place by your dish and post your recipe on the message board for others to share.

Belinda and I are co-hosting this event. Closer to the date I will send out our cell numbers in case there is any confusion in finding our group the day of the potluck.

Hope to see you all there!

Hi, the cupcakes were Golden Vanilla and the frosting was Chocolate Buttercream Frosting from the book "Vegan Cupcakes Take Over The World". Every recipe I've made from this book has turned out well. If you need any more info let me know! :)

There has never been a charge before. They do charge for pavillion rental or kayak/boat rental if anyone should want to try that. Here is the phone number if you want to confirm there being no charge for a small-medium size group picnic on the grass:[masked], and here is their web site: http://saltcreek.multisportsystems.com/page/show/6812-twin-lakes

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
