Thanks for your encouragement as I prepare for this experiment. Since dropping dairy is all that I will have to do to go vegan, I don't expect too many surprises. Calcium, Vitamins D and B-12 issues I will figure out how to deal with. I just got The Dole Nutrition Handbook and have a book on super foods and another on raw foods so I think I am set.

Hi Alan! Thanks for the Amy's pizza suggestion. I found them both at the Whole Foods on Ashland in Chicago. They looked pretty good, but in the end I could just not bring myself to pay $8 for a small frozen pizza. :( Oh well, I'll just have to wait for the meetup at Delisi's!!!
