Philadelphia Area Gamers

Anyone looking to for a competitive and friendly board gaming group is welcome to join us at our monthly meetings. We generally play Euro-style boardgames and card games that challenge the mind and encourage mirthful socializing.

Our general format is to gather at a local pub twice a month for food, brew and festive gaming. Beginners are welcome; we always review game instructions before diving in! Occasionally other events are hosted by members and annually we have our pollyanna style board game exchange in December.

Some games we've recently played: Seven Wonders, Citadels, Settlers of Catan, Tichu, Medici, Carcassonne, Power Grid, Fresco, Keythedral, Pandemic, Wizard.

History: The Philly Area Gaming group has been playing in the northwest Philly suburbs since ca 2003. We originally met at the Valley Forge Brewing Company through a Meetup.com group.

Anyone get a head count for Saturday?

Howdy folks! Just a heads up that I personally won't be able to make this one, but it will still happen. We drawn our attendees from a few different places (yahoo group, facebook and here), so don't worry if attendance looks light on Meetup - there will usually be 10 or more gamers at TJs.
