OZ Trip Clean Up Trip

OZ Clean Up Trip

Lake Mead

Friday, March 14, 2014

Do you have a desire to GIVE BACK? Join us in Operation Zero, a cleanup project operated by Lake Mead Park Rangers.

Meet at the Lake Mead Marina (the white buildings to the left when you drive in NOT the blue ones) by 8:45am. We'll be out on the lake from approximately 9am until 1pm. All this, WEATHER PERMITTING (high winds often keep us from launching so we'll keep in touch up to the last minute with updates from our Boat Operator.)

When you go through the fee booth to get to the Lake Mead Marina, mention to them that you are here to volunteer on the OZ trip today. You will not have to pay then.

We're going on the Lake Mead Park Service pontoon ... we'll pick up trash for a few hours at some cove/beach along Lake Mead, and then get a tour of the lake which usually includes a trip to the back side of Hoover Dam. Gloves, pickers, buckets, bags and PFD's are provided by the Park.

Bring along a snack or lunch and water.

Please reply responsibly. We are limited to nine people because of boat limitations. If you sign up...PLEASE show up!

Thanks!

I never get tired of being out on the water in a pontoon boat on Lake Mead on a sunny Vegas day and walking along a beach helping to keep it looking as nature intended.

It's even better to give back on a warm sunny day on and around the water.

It's looking like the trip on Wednesday with Pat may be cancelled due to wind... So if anyone thinks or knows they won't be able to make this trip I'd love to take your spot!! Haha :))
