I started running in September, 2011 to loose weight and to get myself in better physical condition. Since that time, I have run an ultra marathon (50K), three full marathons, and a half dozen half marathons. Come out and run with me.
To continue to improve my running and cycling and to share these passions with my friends.
I run regularly with Cornerstone groups and have scheduled meetups as well.

Yes, my first went very well. A lot better than some of my training days. I was very pleased with it, never hit any walls and I came under 5 hours, which I gave myself 5 to 5 1/2 for my time. By chance is the OBX marathon on a Saturday? I chose the Richmond because it was on a Saturday, which I am noticing that there aren't many 1/2's or full marathons on Saturdays.
Yes, I did pass your group a few times. I really wanted to join your group but didn't want to throw off my training that was planned out. Now that i am just running for fun and have a little more experience under my belt I can relax a little bit more.
Thanks Steve! To clarify - Breezy Point is a sprint tri. That's as ambitious as I can be right now! :) I'd love to hear training advice from you and/or any other members. This is a new undertaking for me!

Thank you Steve, looking forward to meeting more of the members. Had a good run in miserable humidity with 5 of the very nice ladies last night. They took pity on me and stayed at my pace. Hope to meet you at the first opportunity. I am interested in getting into some speed work workouts, as most things I have read say they are necessary to improve race times for all distances.

Hi Steve! Very thoughtful of you to say hey! You said you enjoy running @ Windsor Castle. Do you have regularly scheduled time you and/or members of the group run? I've been running alone for a very long time and am eager to meet new people for easy days and training runs.

Ok, no worries, Steve. I have 2 spin classes tomorrow so if I walk it wouldn't be for the whole 6 miles anyway. Great job on getting your wife out there! I hope she does great with the program!
