Do you belong to the National Libertarian Party?

Yes! My member number is 0000852. (Joined in 1974). I ran for office twice on the LP line (1998 for 3rd A.D. and 1999 for 3rd L.D.). Delegate at several LP national conventions.

Do you belong to the State Libertarian Party?

Yes. Former Member-At-Large on State Committee.

Are you Interested in Spreading the principles of Liberty and Freedom?

YES!

Do you agree to this statement? "I hereby certify that I do not believe in or advocate the initiation of force as a means of achieving political or social goals." ?

Yes. I first signed this in the 1960s (before there WAS an LP!), when it was proposed by John Hospers; I signed again when it became the mandatory LP certification; and I have signed it many times since then (e.g. when I became an LP candidate).

Introduction

Charter member Suffolk County LP (1974); Libertarian Party member #000852; "libertarian" since 1962 ("Students of Objectivism" with Prof. John Hospers); also studied with Peikoff, Rothbard, Branden, & Ayn Rand (at "Nathaniel Branden Institute").

Fortunately, (but surprising to some,) the meeting turned out well. Opposing points were heard (with minimal contention), and consensus was reached on a small set of immediate changes. Some issues were deferred for future revisions. Too bad the preceding email discussion was not as fruitful!
