LIPC Forum on Civil Liberties

Huntington Public Library, 338 Main St, Huntington, NY |Get Directions »

Hi Folks,

The Huntington Chapter of the Long Island Progressive Coalition will hold a forum on Thursday, March 28 at 7 PM.

Does Current Government Policy Threaten Domestic Liberty?

We will show a video of a February 6, 2013 panel discussion which followed an appeals court hearing on the lawsuit, Hedges vs. Obama. Chris Hedges, Noam Chomsky and others sued the government over provisions of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) which gives the military the right to hold people indefinitely without trial.

A discussion will follow the video. All are welcome to come and voice their opinions. Admission is free. Refreshments will be served.
