We want to welcome German-speaking families who live in and around Summit to play together and get to know one another. We'll not only have playdates where German is spoken, but hopefully barbecues and other kinds of outings (museums in New York, kid-friendly attractions closer to home), to show our kids that even though we all live here right now, there are still lots of opportunities to speak German. Plus, we'll be able to share tips on where to buy good beer and what bread is the best in the area!

Let's get together and sing St Martins day songs and have a little parade around the grassy area around the Watchung playground. If you get there a little early, we can meet at the playground for some fun playtime for the kids, and we can start the celebrations at 6. Our aupair is going to male Lanterns with our kids, so bring your lanterns, too!
