Great hike! Even though I was late, I quickly caught up with the group mostly because the deer flies were making me run. Walked right by a snake without seeing it. Some please post a photo of it. Got warm pretty fast. Like the idea of starting hikes earlier.

Guys I've hit a snag. The arthritis in my hip has stopped me dead in my tracks. I kept hoping it would get better but it looks like I'm going to need a hip replacement. You won't be seeing me on any hikes for awhile but I can still paddle so I'll see you on the water.

Sorry about your problems. Enjoy paddling and hoped ton see you soon

    Hi from your leader
New boots should be worn for short hikes and then build up the miles. !! Broken in athletic shoes will work better for 'longer hikes

Hope to be dine by 1. PM

This is going to be my first hike with the group and I am looking forward to it very much but I do have one question. My hiking boots are being resoled so will sneakers be ok or should I pick up a pair of less expensive hiking boots for this trip? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Also, if you spend $ on a cheap pair of boots, that's what you'll get. cheap boots are likely to hurt your feet, So make your best educated guess.

Thanks for the input. You are definitely right about cheap boots. I spent a few hours yesterday trying some on with no luck. I will head down to Tampa today to Tampa Bay Outfitters. They are a bit expensive but not having sore feet or knees is definitely worth it. I hope to meet you on Thursday!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
