Hike #8 Western Corridor Hike Series of the Florida National Scenic Trail

This hike continues the Western Corridor Series through the Citrus Tract area - one of the sweetest areas for hiking in our area.  (See WC Series #7 for a description of the area.)

Due to the unseasonably warm weather, I am changing the route of this hike to an area with more shade.  We will walk part of the D Loop through Lizzie Hart Sink.  This area has the added benefit of being absolutely gorgeous :-)

There will be only ONE route totaling 11.2 miles.

Meet at 8:45a at the Lake Lindsay Store.  We'll run the shuttle and then head up to Mutual Mine to begin our hike.

Great hike! My longest one-that last mile was a doozy!

PLEASE BE AWARE, If this is your first time going to this area and you are coming from the south, Snow Memorial Hwy is the same as 481 where it intersects with Hwy 41. It turns into 581 a few miles north of that junction. So when you see a sign that says 481, hang a gentle left (it's a Y-shaped junction).

I'm a nubbie to the group and this will be my first meetup. I'm excited but worried that 11 miles is just about my limit. I don't want to slow down the group.
