Bok Tower Gardens boasts one of the greatest works of famed landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted Jr.
In conjunction with our August speaker, Juliet Rynear, the Conservation chair of FNPS and rare plant specialist at Bok Tower Gardens, we are taking a tour of the garden and of the research portion of the center.
The meandering, historic landscape garden was designed to be a contemplative and informal woodland setting offering a series of romantic recesses and tranquil resting spots, picturesque vistas and breathtaking views of the Singing Tower. Acres of ferns, palms, oaks and pines fashion a lush backdrop for flowering foliage.
There is a lovely cafe on the grounds where we plan to stop for lunch before heading home. You will also enjoy the unusual offerings in the gift shop.
Unless you are a FNPS member AND reserved your spot by August 14th, admission fee to Bok Towers is required ($12 - Sorry, No Exceptions). If you'd like to carpool, meet at 8:00 AM at the Seffner Extension Office, or meet us at Bok Tower at 9:30 am. We hope you will be able to join us!
