XMPP for the iPhone

XMPP is a networking technology that is being rapidly adopted for tasks ranging from instant messaging to gaming to hospital systems. It's the technology behind Google Talk and Apple's push notification system. Learn how XMPP works, and how easy it is to use in your app using a simple Objective-C framework. Benjamin King and Robbie Hanson from will be speaking. Also, Pearson / Addison-Wesley has generously donated ten books to our group (with more on the way). The speakers will choose a book and the rest will be given away by a drawing. You have to be present to win! The books are: 2 copies of Mac OS X Internals 2 copies of Cocoa Design Patterns 2 copies of Programming in Objective-C 2.0 2 copies of Cocoa Programming for Mac OS X 2 copies of Developing Hybrid Applications for the iPhone: Using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to Build Dynamic Apps for the iPhone
