Some Supporting Material

From: Aubrey G.

Hi All,

As a build-up to our next meetup, I've started a blog series covering iOS design patterns and best practices. There's a lot of overlap between this material and what I'll be covering in the meetups. In an effort to cover as much material as possible without overwhelming anyone, I thought it best to spread it out. My hope is to inspire a dialog that will help everyone learn something about app design and in turn help each other through discussion and collaboration. I'll be posting every few days for the next three weeks, covering various design patterns and their use. I'll also be referencing this material in the talks. Please feel free to share your thoughts in the comment thread.

Thanks again for all the support I've received! I'm humbled by all the positive response I've heard from the last meetup. Everyone seems to love the direction we're going, and I want to do whatever I can to see that trend continue.

Also, this is a friendly reminder to those who suggested future meetup topics. Please make sure to add them to our suggested topics list. That helps me prioritize and plan future meetups. You don't need to volunteer to give the talk to suggest one, but I certainly would love to see volunteers. If you see a suggestion you want to tackle, please post a comment on the appropriate meetup thread. If you want to give a talk, but don't feel confident, there are lots of speakers in the group (myself included) who would happily give you some advice, so don't be afraid to ask.
