The Suncoast Humanist Society February Meetup

Our Program for Saturday, February 6th ...
Jerry Lieberman, President & Gin Kohl Lieberman, Executive Director, of the Humanists of Florida Association., They will discuss the
"Evolution of Humanism" from it's origins in presocratic Greece and its maturation as a world movement through the twentieth century and into the twenty first. Special attention will be given to Florida, and how the rise of Humanism has affected the outlook here in political and social policy. Since Humanism is a movement of the future, we will consider what its popular adoption might mean to our lives, as society changes to accomodate a very different economic/technological situation in the future. Our meeting is at the Clearwater East Public Library. More details will follow here later. For more information, see the newsletter appearing shortly on our
Humanist society website JP

Next Month... Hyde Park Saturday. Issues, thoughts, and theories will fly like butterflys to Mexico. Delicate... but persistant.
We will be the speakers. Members are encouraged to share the best part of themselves; their ideas.

Informative; it was my first exposure to organized humanism, as opposed to some vague personal thought.

Meetup has allowed me to meet people I wouldn't have met naturally - they're totally different than me.
