Humanist Society of the Suncoast

Matt Cooper leads us to discuss...

Global Warming is      Real,
so it follows that what we need now is not a presentation about combating critics (also called "denialists") or delving into science minutia. Instead, this is a whirlwind tour of climate change now, touching on its history, coming consequences, political obstacles and possible solutions, We see what effects are being experienced now, and what scientists calculate

the future will hold for the average American, and the average human being. Proposed solutions are shown to be sometimes practical, sometimes inadequate, and often just batsh*t crazy.

Finally, our speaker makes a candid calculation of how he personally will need to change to make exactly a zero contribution to global warming.   Following the presentation, the group is invited to contribute their own ideas during questions and answers.                               MC

Matt successfully reduced his carbon footprint to zero, and so can we. Lively exchange of information.

Matthew's presentation of the global warming and about me, I thought it was an excellent way starting from a singular person to expand into a global activity, and can help reduce the problem. Which at this point is irreversible, but stoppable

Whatever humanist do stays with humanists ,I can see your point, the general perception in work force is still against us but we are fighting to get the equality that we deserve. Among us you do not have to be in the closet come and liberate yourself and that is on itself very rewarding. You can say I am free at last. Welcome in our group you will feel at home.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
