A Meetup was scheduled to develop the fab lab at a time that would benefit more members. Merging the fab lab with the Suncoast Science Center agenda was confusing and too much information. The August 14th meeting will include discussions about:

1. Types of workshops to offer
2. Creating the best location for Raspberry-Pi and Arduino resources
3. Gaining sponsorship for sustainability
4. Material donations
5. Tool donations
6. Opening day public project
7. Introduction
8. Agenda is in development

Thank you for your attendance and the $5.00 fee. This fee supports the administration and development of the fab lab.

The plan we discussed to start a meetup for the "Fab Lab Art Makers" at the Fab Lab building is on hold because the building is NOT available for us to use. I just got an email from Eric about this - he said - " soon as the construction, painting, ceiling repairs, flooring, etc. are checked off the list, the lab will be open for your group". I have no idea when the list will be cleared - so - on to plan B. I do not have a plan B ! But, I will have a plan B tomorrow (I need to sleep on this). Plan B will be much easier to implement if we have an indoor place to meet. Any ideas ? Anyone ?

How about the HUB Sarasota. They have meeting space if we are just looking for meeting space or are we looking for a maker space?

The Dennys on Bee Ridge Rode hosts a number of Meetups. They have a privet space with a large wall mounted TV that can be used for presentations etc. Its not Glamorous but I think it is free and easy to scheduled.

I just launched the art makers meetup. Name changed to "Suncoast Bits to Atoms Artisans" The 'Fab Lab" name didn't seem to be very popular. Please check out the new meetup. There is a welcome page and an about page. We will need to meet in temp location(s) until the Fab Lab is available. I will be seting up the first meetup ASAP. I am new to using the meetup web site - so it may not look so good at first. Please join and tell your friends about it !

I will plan on it. I would like to meet one of your arducopter hobbyists that can help me finish my autonomous hexacopter. Do you have a contact for a date and time to bring my stuff to your location? Thanks!

Could someone take a screenshot of a more precise location so that I don't get lost wondering on campus?
