Dean Mobbs is an Assistant Professor at Columbia University and director of the Fear, Anxiety and Biosocial Behavioral (FABB) Lab. FABB is inspired by insights from behavioural ecology, social and clinical psychology and endeavours to understand the central determinants of the human emotional experience. (www.mobbslab.com). Neil Wehneman has served as the Development Director of the Secular Student Alliance since early 2013. Raised fundamentalist Christian, Neil graduated from law school, soliciting book recommendations from his atheist and fundamentalist friends so he could critically re-examine the faith of his childhood. Neil will be talking about his personal journey of transition and loss as he weighed both sides and moved into nontheism.
