The continuing central Nashville SMOUP!
So what the heck is a SMOUP?
SMall grOUPS (see what we did there?) are part social group, part philosophy group, part general “let’s sit around and have a chat over a drink” group, the Smoups are all good and non-judgmental fun.
The group will meet once every two weeks for about 3 months, and we ask people to commit to attending at least 50% of the sessions, so as to build stable connections with each other.
We limit the group number to 10 so that everyone has a chance to get heard.
What happens in a Smoup?
The sessions last between an hour and an hour and a half, are flexible in nature but have what some might call a ‘semi-structured’ feel, with a discussion topic or theme decided beforehand as well as a facilitator to help guide the conversation. Mostly it's just great people hanging out, getting to know each other better so that we can help each other live better lives. Board games are optional :)
The first meeting will be held in a public setting (library meeting room etc. so everyone can meet, and then subsequently meet in a home if you choose).
Once we have group members we will find a place and time that works for the group, so if you are interested just go ahead and rsvp - we will work out the kinks later.
If your area SMOUP is full, please join the waiting list - additional groups will form and you will be notified.
We have divided Nashville region into 5 regions to make SMOUPS convenient to everyone: Central Nashville, East Nashville, West Nashville, and North Nashville.
Please let Kris Tyrrell know if you are interested in hosting or facilitating a SMOUP!
