  • Sunday Assembly Portland: a secular movement of wonder

This is a great meetup group! 100 men, women and children of all ages enjoying non-theist fellowship and science lectures. I'm bringing a couple of agnostics I know to the next one. Bet this thing grows like crazy! The music was great, hope to see Shae Lee next time, too. Fantastic experience, looking forward to more speakers.

  • Sunday Assembly Portland: a secular movement of wonder

My first impressions, since that is all I have, are that it is a good and growing body of people who believe in the brother/sisterhood of humanity without any silly adornments or imaginary stuff. The story telling was fun. The sing-a-long was...well we sang :)

  • Sunday Assembly Portland: a secular movement of wonder

This is a group of really nice, interesting, free thinking, community minded folks. I have had many excellent conversations about obscure sci-fi, science/technology, and social structures/politics. No one has tried to force their infallible mythology down my throat. Great speakers, community events, and live band group karaoke/sing along. I feel accepted here just the way I am.

What a wonderful time of community, sharing, and fun! The speakers were engaging and heartfelt, the music was bumpin', and the MC was inviting and lighthearted! Lunch afterwards downstairs was a great time too! Thank you to everyone who organized the event, and to all the new and returning Assemblers who were part of community today.

  • Sunday Assembly Portland: a secular movement of wonder

A great place to meet new friends with no worries about supernatural gobbly-gook seaping in. Great talks, sing-along music, cookies, potlucks... what's not to like? It is exciting to see people come from all parts of Portland (and even beyond) come together as strangers to pull this thing off. Sunday Assembly seems to get international news coverage, so it is part of the fun and excitement.

A lively, welcoming bunch! Love the energy and commitment to organizing as a community...no top down sentiment with this group of folks. In the words of Dr. Seuss....Oh the places we'll go....
