Sunday Assembly Silicon Valley #4: Happiness...Yeah Baby!

Join us for our 4th Sunday Assembly Silicon Valley!

Theme: Happiness!

Let's SPRING forward into our Happy Place, this Sunday at our next Assembly.

The featured guest will be Ruth Kaiser, TED talk speaker and creator of the popular online art project, Spontaneous Smiley - where thousands of people find, photograph, and share the smiley faces they find in everyday objects. Her joyful message is an invitation to pay attention to the life you have, and to soak up the wonder and beauty all around you.

Parking Information: Disabled parking on-site.  For all others: parking is at the SJSU garage, entrance on San Fernando at 10th St. (cost is $5), or for free in the neighborhood (most streets are unrestricted on Sundays, but please be careful to read the parking hours signs).

Great job on this one!!! The singalongs were great, no technical glitches and all the speakers were excellent. Personally I thought the beachballs were fun. The kids in the audience were having a great time. I'm looking foward to next month!

As the Beatles song goes, "It's getting better all the time. Better, better, better..." This was only my second SA, and it's already fun watching the group grow and get better at what it's out to do. I'm happy to be a part of it. Thanks to all the volunteers for everything you do!

Really enjoyed it, all the speakers were super. Ruth Kaiser had me all choked up. It seemed like the childern really loved the beach balls so that was a fun way to draw them in. Thanks so much everyone. p.s. thanks also to everyone that stopped by to learn more about starting up some small group acrtivities too.

The pacing of the event was terrific. The speakers were very good. I could have done without the beach ball dodging at the end. That was not us stay "happy", the theme of this event!

Wow, best SASV yet. Really polished, well run, great theme, really smooth.

The presentation on Spontaneous Smileys was great. Small saucers that foods like veggies with hummus (yum!) don't soak through and don't smash your snack like napkins do (maybe just my klutziness) would help. Art did a great job with Doing Your Best, too. The choir and instrumentalists did well; everyone should be on the lookout for songs easier for crowds to sing (remember, the Christians have had centuries to compile theirs). And the beach balls were way fun. (How's that for a doubledecker criticism sandwich?)

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
