Wonder Club - Moral Epistemology

Wonder Club is the Sunday Assembly's monthly philosophy discussion group! This month we are going to be discussing how to identify an action as morally right or morally wrong. This process typically involves constructing a moral framework to act as a 'lens' to view an action then systematically categorize actions as good, bad, etc. in accordance with the framework. This discussion, therefore, will be more centered on asking HOW we are to act if we are to act moral and less focused on asking where morality comes from. We always have a good, lively discussion at Wonder Club, so make sure you mark your calendars!

My perspective on moral reasoning has been profoundly influenced by Jonathan Haidt's arguments that people generally act from intuition rather than reason, and that liberals and conservatives prioritize moral foundations (as defined by Haidt) differently.
