Join us Friday, July 25 through Sunday, July 27 for a weekend of tent camping on Big Clouds Creek in Watson Mill Bridge State Park. Bring your tent and camping gear if you have them. If you don’t, ask about pairing up with seasoned campers. We’ll tell you what to bring and offer you a tent or space in one of ours. We’ll be cooking on a camp stove, in a Dutch oven, and on the camp fire. Expect to EAT WELL, hike the trails, take pictures of the covered bridge, rock hop, get wet, lounge at our beautiful campsite, play cards, play bocce, stargaze, and relax with old and new friends.
Please RSVP the number of tents and people you are bringing. If we go over the 20 person maximum for this site, I can reserve the adjacent campsite for an even bigger Sunday Assembly gathering.
This is a primitive, rugged site accessed by a trail on a hill with roots and uneven ground. I’m sorry that it is not suitable for handicap access. This private campsite has water, but no electricity. We can use the campground restroom which has showers, hot water and outlets, 200 yards away. Cell phone reception is poor at the site, but fair at the top of the hill near the restroom. We will be right on Big Clouds Creek and can sit on rocks with our feet in the water, wade, or sit waist-deep in the water.
ParkPass is required for all vehicles, $5 for the weekend, or $50 annual ParkPass.
